Do you operate by appointment? Can I bring my pet in without an appointment?

We prefer to make appointments to minimize waits. However, we do accept same day and drop off appointments, just give us a call! We make every attempt to work in seriously sick or injured pets as soon as possible, however there may be times when we will be unable to do so, and will recommend other emergency services to reach out to.

How do you handle emergencies outside of office hours?

A doctor can almost always be reached by calling our regular number and you will be given an emergency number to call. If you have an emergency and cannot reach a doctor please call MedVet Chicago at (773) 281-7110. The emergency hospital will email all of our patients’ records to us so that they can be added to our files. We rarely are unreachable within business hours but are glad that we have this backup option should an emergency arise.

Do you offer grooming? What is the procedure?

No, we do not offer grooming at this time. We do offer “Lion” cuts, but require pet sedation for the cut.

Note: We are not an insurance company and have no way in what and how Trupanion approves and pays out claims.
